Methodology

My methodology revolves around two basic types, the Silent Way, which emphasizes learner autonomy and Community Language Learning, which emphasizes building strong personal links between the teacher and the student.

Grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation are constantly drilled in this methodology and I evaluate my students through careful observation.

By using the Silent Way methodology I act as a mere facilitator of the conversation and encourage my students to be more active in their learning. I say as little as possible so that the student can take control of their learning process and there is a big emphasis on pronunciation. The students make no use of their mother tongue in this methodology.

I also use the Community Language Learning teaching methods which places a great emphasis on the building a great relationship between myself and the student. This methodology enables the student to feel very comfortable in class in order to minimize any blocks to learning.
